The rock legend Revealed He Would Alter a Thing in His Existence, Per a Poignant Documentary

During one of his last conversations, the legendary musician the Black Sabbath frontman proclaimed he would alter nothing about his life, appearing in an emotional documentary filmed before his passing.

The rock legend died during the summer month at the age of 76, less than three weeks after a star-studded farewell concert in Birmingham.

An incredible manner to depart that concert proved, he said in one of his final interviews for the program.

Sharon & Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home chronicled the last three years of his existence and premiered this past Thursday. The 60-minute feature had originally been scheduled for release in August, though rescheduled acknowledging the relatives' requests to wait a bit longer.

Closing Thoughts

I've experienced great joy, he expressed at the end of the film. There's been much struggle and effort, understandably.

It's been a great life. If I could live my life again, I would keep everything the same.

The Last Show

He also spoke about how his feelings came close to overpowering him throughout the emotional farewell performance in Birmingham during July's start.

During the program, his daughter Kelly noted how all were weeping during the event as he performed the song Mama, I'm Coming Home – a piece composed for the couple by Lemmy from Motorhead.

I struggled to sing, remembered the star, adding that it proved agonizing to have to sit down on an elevated chair to perform because of a serious spinal injury.

The only thing that was terribly frustrating personally, I had to sit there as opposed to pacing the platform, the legendary singer said.

I longed to rise and deliver passionately. It felt rather emotional to stay in that position during several performances.

In addition to his band, the concert included shows from various performers they influenced, including Metallica and Guns N' Roses.

Health Challenges

The musician, who revealed in 2020 his Parkinson's diagnosis, was shown post-event saying he was stepping away from the spotlight.

First recognized for his music and outrageous behavior, the British singer along with his relatives relocated to LA in the early 21st century and gained prominence of their own trailblazing reality TV show, the reality series.

The film chronicles the pair during their preparations for their dream of moving back to their property in England.

I don't want to be interred in the US, he affirmed during the program.

Additionally, it features his rehabilitation efforts and running on a machine aided by prosthetic back and leg supports in his persistent effort to perform once more for a farewell.

He wants that opportunity to take his leave to his supporters appropriately, commented his wife.

His daughter Kelly – appearing in the film with her siblings, his other kids alongside her mother – expressed: I consistently believed my father was untouchable. However, the character proved vulnerable after all.

Musical Legacy

As frontman of Black Sabbath, the Birmingham-born musician is recognized as one of the founding fathers of heavy metal, thanks to songs like his classic hits.

Yet he faced multiple physical challenges. He was seriously injured in a quad bike crash years ago, and experienced spinal trauma during a nighttime accident recently, that eventually resulted in him calling off his extended goodbye concert series.

Late Works

His autobiography, titled Last Rites will be released following his death soon.

A segment published disclosed that the deceased musician got sepsis in January, and his condition was critical for a period.

Every member essentially believed I wouldn't make it, he expressed.

Additionally, he shared he underwent treatment for eight days in medical care following his relocation to Britain this past May due to worries related to his cardiovascular health.

And he wrote prior to departing LA, he had replaced his former dependencies related to narcotics and liquor with fruit. I became addicted on the fruit temporarily, he remarked.

No common varieties, please note. They required that particular type... I arrived at a phase where some nights I ingested multiple apples.

He continued: It got to the point that I required to address my fruit consumption. It's a wonder I didn't wake up someday with an apple tree emerging from my backside.

Closing Ceremonies

After his passing, the star received an emotional send-off as his remains took a final journey throughout his birthplace, watched on by thousands of fans who chanted his name.

An additional program about the last six years of his journey, titled Ozzy: No Escape From Now will premiere via the platform in early October.

Some fans can view it at special preview screenings in the UK, and in the capital.
