Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two-time world title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, consistently making huge paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is really proceeding.
