Colts Face Falcons in German Capital – NFL Week 10

Hello, football fans. How are you? Alles klar I trust on this excellent morning kickoff to the tenth week coming straight outta Deutschland. The Olympiastadion in Berlin to be precise where at 8.30am CST/9.30am EST and 2.30pm GMT the powerful Colts (seven wins and two losses) take on the Falcons (3-5). The fifth game played on German soil and the initial in the capital city.

Pregame Key Moments

When it comes to glittering attire that is an absolute belter from Katarina Witt on the coin toss. A slight fluff from the broadcast team there as we hear “which team got the coin flip?” from the presenter with an accidentally live microphone.

So, the Colts have won the toss and have chosen to get the ball first. Daniel Jones and company will be setting up shortly. Will the QB bounce back after a difficult performance in their last game?

Not to be outdone the vocalist performing the US national anthem has some of the biggest shoulder embellishments you are bound to notice. Loving the sartorial choices today. The game is about to start after a choral number for the German anthem. Classy.

Opening Period Action

Colts 0-0 Falcons 13:30, 1st quarter

Here we go! And we have an exciting start after the Colts running back receives a short throw, sweeps out for 15 yards to the right then fumbles … only for his center to recover the fumble with the recovery. Indianapolis quickly moves into Atlanta's half.

Colts 0-0 Falcons 10:51, 1st quarter

And the drama keeps coming as the Colts go for it on 4th down. The gamble fails to pay off as the wide receiver fails to catch a fastball from the quarterback. On the play before the turnover on downs Jessie Bates put a massive tackle on the Colts' tight end. The Falcons have come out fighting on defense as they try and snap their string of three losses. Next up Sauce Garner’s debut!

Touchdown Updates

TOUCHDOWN! Colts 6-0 Falcons 8:36, 1st quarter

Was that a missed touchdown by Kyle Pitts? The tight end drops a clanger, he was very open but the ball just slips through his grasp. That moment reflects the high draft pick's professional journey to date.

A disappointing start but it only gets worse for the Atlanta as they turn over possession to the Colts on the 23-yard mark. The Falcons quarterback is hunted down and fumbles the football.

An agile 22-yard rush from the Colts receiver sets Jonathan Taylor up to roll in for the score on the next snap. The placekicker skews the extra point wide. Mistake.

Falcons respond: 6-7 at 6:07

The quarterback recovers from the turnover by leading Atlanta on a long drive for a touchdown. The wide receiver makes some chunky receptions to put them in the scoring area then the defense opens up for the running back to saunter on to the goal line through the heart of the field for 13 yards. The running back finishes it off for a short scoring run of his own. The Falcons take the lead.
