Automobiles in German Town Discovered Marked with Swastikas in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Report

Around fifty vehicles have been marked with what seems to be blood from a person in the German town of Hanau near Frankfurt, police confirm law enforcement.

Automobiles, exterior walls and mailboxes were defaced, sometimes with Nazi symbols, they reported in a release.

Law enforcement report they were contacted during the night on Wednesday evening, when a man discovered that a car in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been smeared with a red-colored liquid.

The liquid had been drawn in the pattern of a swastika, they stated.

Police then discovered multiple other vandalized automobiles and building exteriors in the surrounding area.

These symbols are prohibited in Germany under legislation banning the public exhibition of Nazi-era symbols.

Officials report early analysis show the liquid was likely human blood.

"There is still no lead as to its source; authorities are not yet cognizant of any injuries in relation with the incident," they stated.

City officials announced they were working "to solve the case" and have asked to the community for tips.

An important representative said the vandalism left him without words and had to be solved rapidly.

"This act affects the center of Hanau and revives the trauma of the right-wing terrorist attack half a decade ago," he stated on a platform, referring to the death of nine individuals by a gunman focusing on individuals of migrant background in February 2020.
